Tanya Detrik is an award-winning author, a speaker and a ghostwriter. Since authoring her first book, Waking Up with Nora, a memoir of self-discovery and transformation, she speaks and writes to inspire others to consider the power their perspectives play in wellbeing.
As a ghostwriter, she helps others bring non-fiction books into being.
Her awards include a 2018 Connecticut Press Club and a National Federation of Press Women award for the content of her speech about the perspectives of parents of special needs children. Her blog, Simply Inspiring Perspective won a 2017 Connecticut Press Club award, and her personal essay about inclusion, won 1st Place in the 2015 Trumbull Arts Council Literary Awards.
All the proceeds from Waking Up with Nora go to helping special needs children. She is currently working on her second non-fiction book entitled, The Perspective Prescription.
