Meet Beth Stoller
In the mindset of an avid networker, we are ‘taught’ that we want to book our ‘dance card’ with as many one to one conversations as we can. “Collect a business card, connect on LinkedIn and then schedule that 30 min one to one conversation, right?” But because you don’t know much about the person that you are going to be meeting, you never know that it will lead to a productive conversation. That’s a lot of 30 minute sessions to be giving away from your calendar…But, think of the possibilities that can occur if your one to one’s could come from a more productive way?
In 2014 I became acutely aware that all of the time and energy it takes for us as professionals and entrepreneurs to connect and schedule these all-important relationship-building conversations could be done more time efficiently within a one to many relationship called public speaking.
When you have an audience filled with people who took the time to attend a presentation based upon you – your name or their interest in your topic, you are clearly at an advantage. On stage, you begin that know like and trust relationship – albeit one sided…but once a person from that audience reaches out to you, just think of how much more productive that 30 minute conversation can be? They know what you’re all about…now its time to get to know them and to see how you can serve them.
This is the reason that At the Podium was established… to help professionals and entrepreneurs learn how to use public speaking so they could share their expertise within a one to many setting that results to more meaningful one to one conversations.
Combining my networking savvy and passion for seeing people succeed with resources, services, products, and groups I’ve created, I love guiding professionals and entrepreneurs through the nuts-and-bolts of what it takes to become a public speaker that is ready to confidently take the stage, deliver your signature talk and begin these after the podium conversations.
“There are many talented business professionals out there—hidden gems who have problem-solving wisdom to share! A great speaker can change your life with the right message at the right time. That’s what I love about my work. With At the Podium, I get to help facilitate those moments!”
In addition to At the Podium, I have been and continue to be active within my community, including:
