Knowing what to say to a friend, relative, or colleague when they have suffered a loss can be awkward.
After hearing the presentation, you will have a list of things TO say and TO do in these circumstances.
We have all heard it and said it: “Time heals all wounds”. Time passes. Time in and of itself does not heal. It is what you DO with your time that will help the healing. “Just keep busy”. Keeping busy, keeps us busy. It distracts, in and of itself, it does not heal.
After hearing the presentation you will see the truth behind ineffective information, and see what is needed to heal the pain.

Since 2000, Ethel-Anne Roome has been helping people walk through the pain of loss into a place of recovery and relief. She became a Specialist after completing the Grief Recovery Method® Program to put an end to the pain of unresolved grief she had been carrying since childhood. Finding her own peace led her to open “Grief Recovery Starts Here," and the profession of helping others do the same.
Loss surrounds us, and not only from death. Grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss; whether it is from a death, divorce, relocation, a disability, an estrangement, or loss of any kind. She is certified to facilitate: one-on-one classes or groups classes using the Grief Recovery Method®.
Ethel-Anne helps people make peace with the past, so they can be present in the present, and then make plans for the future.
She received her Certification from the Grief Recovery Institute in 2000. She holds a B.S. in Education with a minor in Sociology. She has taught adults and children in Delaware, California, and Connecticut. She was also a management trainer for Westin Hotels.
